About us
Who We Are
The St.James Cyclones is a wrestling club for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade. We focus on teaching the basics of wrestling while encouraging teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for the sport. Our goal is to help kids grow both on and off the mat.What We’re About- Building confidence

Meet Our Coaches
Our coaches are here to guide, encourage, and inspire your kids. We love wrestling and want to pass that passion on to the next generation.
Matt Rohmsdahl
A former Cyclone and Saint wrestler, Matt also wrestled at Augsburg College. With two children in the Cyclone/SJM programs, Matt has been coaching youth wrestling for 3 years and also coaches for the team.Danon Anderson
A former Cyclones, Saint wrestler, and State Champ, Danon has been coaching with the Cyclones for 7 years. He has one child currently in the program.Jeff Barrett
Jeff has three children involved in the Cyclone/SJM programs and has been coaching for 4 years. He also coaches for the team.Tayler Swanson
A former Cyclone youth wrestler and Saint wrestler, Tayler has two children in the program. He’s been helping with coaching, mainly with the younger group, for 2 years.Travis Elg

With over 10 years of experience in youth wrestling coaching, Dave has contributed 4 years as a varsity assistant coach and 15 years as the head coach at Windom/Mt. Lake, retiring after the 2010 season. Dave has one grandchild involved in the Cyclones program.Dan Rotert

A former Cyclone and Saint wrestler, DJ also played college rugby 🏉. He has been coaching wrestling at various levels since 2013. DJ has one child in the Cyclones program and focuses on coaching the younger group of wrestlers.Jared Schwanz
Jared is a former Cyclone and Saint wrestler and has one child currently participating in the Cyclones program. He has been coaching with the Cyclones for 2 years, primarily working with the older group of wrestlers.
